Nursery 2 children have been settling into their new environment with the help of Poppy our school Therapy dog. She has enjoyed going for walks and listening to the children as they chat to her about all they are doing. The children are being encouraged to write letters to her as they have lots of questions they would like answered. We are hoping to find out what her favourite book is as we have shared lots of our stories with her!
In Nursery the children have enjoyed exploring the natural materials in the mud kitchen, using spoons to combine the pine cones, conkers, lentils and shells and then serving the mixture to the Nursery teddy bears! To build on this interest, we decided to hold a Teddy Bears Picnic.
Our magazine club got to meet with X-Factor semi final sensation Holly Tandy, Kieran McGinn of the musical An Officer and a Gentleman and Kelvin Fletcher of Emmerdale fame on Wednesday.
