Year 4 visited Williamson Park last week to investigate the amazing creatures in the Butterfly House.
Members of year 6 visited UCLAN's observatory yesterday. They learned so much about space in the planetarium and used real telescopes to see the sun. They were amazed by the really old and new telescopes and how big they were. Year 6's behaviour was an asset to the school.
Year 4's International Festival has begun with great fun to be had on our bouncy castle, carnival games, arts & crafts and lots more.
Year 3 learnt how to make a campfire at yesterdays Forest School. They were able to toast marshmallows and made s'mores which are a delicious marshmallow and chocolate biscuit sandwich treat. Everyone received a certificate having completed the 6 week course.
We have used the children's interest in our fantastic Mud Kitchen and developed it further by making real cakes in Nursery, encouraging the children to take turns and use their senses to look at, smell and touch the ingredients before mixing them together and eating the finished result!
Year 3 experienced a Forest School session with the park rangers who were on hand to provide activities ranging from making wands and crowns using forest resources, mud splat target practice and den building.
