Year 4 have been working together and leading their own lessons to solve problems involving perimeter.
A group of Year 6 children went to the pleasure beach for a careers taster day, which is held every year for mainly Year 8/9 students. They looked at lots of different careers and what skills / qualifications we would need. There were lots of interesting jobs and careers and it gave them an insight into what skills and qualification employers look for in candidates.
This year the Children’s Centre Christmas party was bigger and better than ever with a special appearance from CBEBBIES Mr Yipadee. See our blog for more information.
As part of their Superhero theme, Year 1 dressed up as real life superheroes such as Doctor’s, Nurse’s and Teacher’s and fictional superheroes, such as Spiderman and Batman. They carried out a range of activities including decorating biscuits, making lolly-pop superheroes, den building, superhero hand prints and face painting as part of their Business Enterprise work.
Thank you to the Tesco Toy Appeal in partnership with the Rotary Club, Rock FM and the Salvation Army for their very generous donations of toys and gifts. The presents will be distributed to RLA and Children’s Centre families.

This morning our Armistice service took place. Our Year 5 children produced a very moving ceremony and presented a beautiful Remembrance Day wreath which was created in sewing club with help from Mrs Douglas.
We’ve had a fun and very busy day today fund raising for Breast Cancer Care.
