Thankyou to Soreen for helping us today with our healthy breakfast initiative.
It’s careers day! We have had a number of talks from various organisations including a mechanic from Blackpool & Fylde College, a farmer from Myerscough College and our local community support officers discussed careers in the police force.
The owl man visited and we learnt lots about these beautiful birds of prey. He brought a number of different species of owls with him and the children were able to hold them while wearing special gloves.
The first chicks have hatched. The children were very excited and a live video stream was made available so that all classes could monitor the new chicks. Thanks to Bowland Farm for providing the eggs and all of the necessary equipment.
We had an amazing week with classroom science experiments, a popup planetarium, and science assemblies. We had visits from the Mad Science Group, BNFL, the Creepy Crawly Roadshow, Reptile Workshop, a university scientist, an engineer and we even got to see the solar eclipse during our Science Week.
