Year 6 Observatory & Planetarium visit

Members of year 6 visited UCLAN's observatory yesterday. They learned so much about space in the planetarium and used real telescopes to see the sun. They were amazed by the really old and new telescopes and how big they were. Year 6's behaviour was an asset to the school.

Year 4 International Festival

Year 4's International Festival has begun with great fun to be had on our bouncy castle, carnival games, arts & crafts and lots more. Later year 4 gave an energetic dance performance in front of parents with dance styles from around the world.

Year 3 Campfire

Year 3 learnt how to make a campfire at yesterdays Forest School. They were able to toast marshmallows and made s'mores which are a delicious marshmallow and chocolate biscuit sandwich treat. Everyone received a certificate having completed the 6 week course.

Year 3 Forest School

Year 3 experienced a Forest School session with the park rangers who were on hand to provide activities ranging from making wands and crowns using forest resources, mud splat target practice and den building.

Nursery Mud Kitchen

We have been very busy with the creation of our new Mud Kitchen area. The children enjoyed finding lots of wiggly worms as they helped to dig up the soil  using spades and trowels. We then put bark down, transporting it using the wheel barrow and spreading it all over the soil.

Reception at Wyre Estuary Country Park

Fit2Go

Year four enjoyed going to the Fit to Go Festival on Tuesday. They played football, netball and did athletics with many other schools. Behaviour and sportsmanship was very good. Well done year four for representing our school well.
