Revoe does Junior Masterchef

Our Revoe does Junior Masterchef competition was an opportunity for year 3 to demonstrate their culinary skills, preparing healthy meals for our three expert judges. Two groups were awarded all-round best dish on presentation, healthiness and the all important taste test.

Canine First Aid

Poppy was invited to attend a Canine First Aid course with another therapy dog from Kingcraig school. Both dogs were willing and very well behaved patients, allowing staff from various local schools to learn and practice how to correctly administer first aid.

Poppy Craft Afternoon

War Veteran with Year 6

For Remembrance, Revoe has welcomed war veterans. Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed learning how how Mr Clement fought in Afganistan where he lost both of his legs after an IED attack. They asked lots of questions, got to see photographs and hold medals of heroic actions.

War Veteran with Year 5

Year 5 had a visitor on Tuesday from Mrs Cropper’s Dad Jim! They got to learn all about him growing up in Mereside, Blackpool and going on to join the RAF at 16. African drumming & dancing

Year 4 + 5 beat a rhythmic path to a new skill with African dance and drumming tuition yesterday. After learning about the instruments, traditions, music and dance of Africa they celebrated their new found expertise in a whole school assembly.

Dodgeball Competition

 

In the Blackpool Primary Schools dodgeball competition, our RLA team won all 3 games against Holy Family, Gateway and St Theresas. We then also went on to beat Mereside in the final! Well done to the team who played brilliantly and were a credit to our school with their impeccable behaviour…

Therapy Dog Award

Poppy has achieved her Bronze Level on the School Therapy Dog Training Programme. She received a certificate and also a rosette for achieving 100%. The  in-school assessor, wrote, “Poppy is a fabulous dog and is doing fantastic work in her role at RLA”. Well done Poppy!!

Paddington Bear's Cousin

Today a new bear visited year 3. He has been travelling around the world and has just got off the train at Euston. In English, we are going to write stores about his adventures. He is Paddington bear's cousin and he likes eating jam sandwiches. We have decided to call him Euston.
