Our Revoe does Junior Masterchef competition was an opportunity for year 3 to demonstrate their culinary skills, preparing healthy meals for our three expert judges. Two groups were awarded all-round best dish on presentation, healthiness and the all important taste test.

Today a new bear visited year 3. He has been travelling around the world and has just got off the train at Euston. In English, we are going to write stores about his adventures. He is Paddington bear's cousin and he likes eating jam sandwiches. We have decided to call him Euston.

The children in year three have been doing Talk for Writing and learning Paddington's diary. They have made up actions for the words and learned where to put punctuation.

Year 3 explored the nature trails of Grizedale forest in the lake district. They enjoyed building dens and learning about the plants and creatures that share the forest.

Our visiting dentists helped year 3 learn about sugar, food acids, healthy foods and how best to brush their teeth.

Year 3 learnt how to make a campfire at yesterdays Forest School. They were able to toast marshmallows and made s'mores which are a delicious marshmallow and chocolate biscuit sandwich treat. Everyone received a certificate having completed the 6 week course.

Year 3 experienced a Forest School session with the park rangers who were on hand to provide activities ranging from making wands and crowns using forest resources, mud splat target practice and den building.

Y3 have been learning about plants and visited Lowther Gardens to discover more. They made observational drawings and learnt more about the life cycle of plants and what plants need to grow by planting shrubs and carrying out gardening tasks with the Park Rangers.

Year 3 had their first fun and exciting Forest school session exploring the outdoor area. They were introduced to the Park Rangers and took part in some interesting tasks.

Year 3 blew away winter and danced their way into spring with their sensational Easter Street Dance Performance. Due to the high standard of effort and commitment awards were given to 8 of our superb dancers.
