Canopy Sand Area

This week in RLD we have been thinking about our canopy sand area and how we can improve it. We worked together to come up with a list of ideas of what we would like to see in the new area. Some children have been taking pictures of the resources we already have, some children have been writing shopping lists of the things we would like and some children have written letters to Mr Harrison to ask him if we can have some new resources.

We had a challenge to think about how we could make the best sandcastle. The children have been experimenting in the outdoor sandpit with different sized buckets, spades and deciding whether wet or dry sand is best for sandcastles.

We have also been doing a lot of independent writing and remembering to use our sounds to think about the words we want to write.
