Class Dojo

Class Dojo is an online learning platform that teachers, pupils and families can use every day to share what's being taught in the classroom through activities, photos, videos and messages. It is an excellent way for children to stay in touch with teachers and continue their learning from home. We use ClassDojo from Year 1 all the way through to Year 6. It is secure and personal to our school and provides information in an easy to use format.

Class Dojo is just one part of our 'Blended Offer' and is used in conjunction with Google Classroom, Purple Mash and other resources which you can find on our Home Learning Page. Watch the video below for help in getting logged in at home and joining the Class Dojo fun.

Our Blended Offer is a blend of learning that takes place in school and continues at home through paper activities and digitally through Class Dojo and Purple Mash. In this video we introduce Class Dojo.

Class Story

Class Story is where we will share photos, tutorials and files to aide learning with ALL families. This private feed is viewable by parents and pupils, through both parent and pupil accounts. Your class teacher will post weekly planning as well as tutorials and worksheets to assist remote learning.

Teachers may use Class Story to:

  •          Record tutorial lessons
  •          Post challenges and learning updates
  •          Share links to learning sites to keep pupils practicing their skills
  •          Upload worksheets and activities for families to complete at home
  •          Read stories to the class
  •          Share photos of the wider curriculum or similar to engage learners

Queries or requests for help with any problems should be addressed to the teacher using the messaging service or through our class email accounts:

Portfolios is an area within Class Dojo that allows pupils to share with their teachers and family! Children can add to their portfolio using Chromebooks, laptops, and iOS/Android devices, even from home. Teachers can view and approve student work on Portfolios using any device. Once approved, only parent accounts connected to their child can see those particular posts and both parents and teachers can leave positive feedback in the form of a like and/or comments.

Click the video for more information on Portfolios.

Messages allow teachers and parents to instantly message each other, without needing to share phone numbers or contact details. Messages can be translated into 35 different languages, and "Quiet Hours" lets teachers set away times so parents know when they are not available. Messages sent out of hours will not be seen by the teacher until the next working day.

Important things to remember

  • Class Dojo is only available to parents and children registered at the school.
  • Parents are reminded that they should not take images from Class Dojo and post them elsewhere online.
  • The messaging system between parents and teachers does not replace communication through the office. It can be used to keep in contact with your child's teacher about learning and any ClassDojo related topics. If you have any serious concerns please contact the school office on 01253 763414 or via email
  • Parents can message teachers, however a response will only be given during school hours, Monday-Friday, as the rest of the time teachers are set on ‘quiet hours’.
